Once upon a time, the only Japanese animation I knew was Speed Racer and Robotech. Not exactly the most auspicious of introductions, but things got better. Thanks to some friends in Madison, I was introduced to un-Macek'ed anime, and have since become something of an otaku. Now if only we could get rid of DiC and Mixx....
